Sustainably sourced: Camelthorn Firewood, also known as “Kameeldoring”, is a protected tree species in Namibia. We exclusively harvest deceased trees, ensuring environmental responsibility.

Versatile usage: Camelthorn is well-suited for outdoor culinary use, barbecues, “braaing”, pizza ovens, as well as interior heating in enclosed fireplaces and wood-burning stoves.

Extended burn time: Camelthorn boasts a longer burning duration compared to Sicklebush, making it an excellent choice for creating a relaxed and unhurried ambience.

Creates a distinct bushveld aroma when burned, enriching meat with a delightful wood-fired flavour that can only be acquired using a wild African hardwood.

Tamer red/orange flame: Camelthorn’s flame is elegantly subdued, casting a soothing glow.

High-temperature capability: Burns at up to 850°C

Lowest moisture content: Naturally sun-dried in the hot Namibian bush, our wood requires no kiln drying.

Average log length of 1 foot(±30cm), ensuring convenience and ease of use. *Slight variations in piece thickness and length.
